The ESPYs doesn’t always do hockey justice, for the simple fact the sport isn’t as popular in the United States of America as it is Canada. Since football and basketball are more popular than hockey, the teams and players in those sports have a bit of an advantage when it comes to winning ESPYs.

P.K. Subban has played in a Canadian city, and an American city, so he understands the difference between walking the streets of Nashville as a hockey star, and walking the streets of Montreal. In Montreal, every single person will recognize you, and in Nashville, a more select grouping. Of course, Nashville might be a bad example after this years insane Stanley Cup Final run, but you get what we mean.

Boston is a city in the U.S. that loves their hockey, but Subban wanted to test just how much they love hockey by seeing if New England Patriots star Julian Edelman recognized him.

Rather than simply asking Edelman, Subban posed as an undercover Boston police officer, badge and all, to see if the receiver would call his bluff.

It’s hard to hear exactly what Edelman is saying, but it appears he’s yelling, “He’s a hockey player! He’s a hockey player!”

You’ve passed the hockey test, Julian Edelman, and you are also not being arrested.

Edelman was once a member of the fake Boston Police, so he knows every member of the squad…
