The Pittsburgh Steelers entered their Week 5 home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars as nearly 10-point favourites, but you wouldn’t know that after looking at the stat sheet.

The Jaguars embarrassed the Steelers at Heinz Field as they picked off Ben Roethlisberger five times and returned two of the interceptions for touchdowns in a 30-9 victory.

Steelers fans couldn’t believe their eyes as Roethlisberger failed to get his team on the board over and over again and continued to turn it over. As bad as the performance was, it turns out the two-time Super Bowl champion is actually the 7th quarterback to throw five interceptions and zero touchdowns at home in the last 20 years.

Eli Manning has had a lot of multi-interception games over the course of his career, but his worst performance came on December 15, 2013, at home against the Seattle Seahawks. In a game where the Giants were shutout 23-0, Manning finished the game 18 for 31 with 156 yards and five interceptions. Manning has actually thrown five interceptions in a game twice in his career, but he managed to throw one touchdown in the other game.

Despite finishing the game 28 for 46 with 301 yards and five interceptions, the Atlanta Falcons nearly beat the Arizona Cardinals on November 18, 2012. Thanks to a lot of field goals, a defensive touchdown and a rushing touchdown, the Falcons only lost the game 23-19 aside from Ryan’s worst performance of his career.

Mark Sanchez – October 18, 2009 vs. Buffalo

Mark Sanchez led the New York Jets to a 3-0 record in his first three games with the team, but he went through a very rough patch over the next few weeks. In a home game against the Buffalo Bills on October 18, 2009, Sanchez finished the game 10 for 29 for 119 yards and five interceptions as the Jets went on to lose the game 16-13.

It took Kyle Orton just three NFL games to make history. In his second home game of his career, Orton went 17 for 39 with 149 yards and five interceptions in a 24-7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He didn’t let that bother him throughout the season, though, as he helped the Bears win eight of the next nine games and a division-high 11 wins.

Chad Pennington – December 20, 2003 vs. New England

It wasn’t Chad Pennington’s worst offensive performance of his career, but it’s definitely up there as one of the worst all-time. In a 21-16 loss to the New England Patriots, Pennington finished the game 24 for 43 with 229 yards and five interceptions.

Jon Kitna – November 28, 1999 vs. Tampa Bay

Like Eli Manning, Jon Kitna threw five interceptions two different times throughout his NFL career. One of his five-interception games came on the road and he managed to throw two touchdowns in the loss, but his other one came at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the game, Kitna finished 19 for 44 with 197 yards and five interceptions. As bad as this performance was, Kitna’s worst game of his career came on September 3, 2000, when he finished 6 for 15 with 54 yards and four interceptions in a 23-0 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
