Bryan Bickell played his final NHL game on Sunday night and he went out on top.

The Carolina Hurricanes and Philadelphia Flyers needed a shootout to decide a winner on Sunday night and the Hurricanes went with Bickell as their first shooter.

The 31-year-old made no mistake and scored on his final shot in the NHL, but what was even cooler about the entire moment was the interaction he had with the Flyers bench on the way back to his own bench.

It really doesn’t get much better than this. That’s a very classy move by the Flyers organization.

On top of scoring in his final game, Bickell also picked up a few team awards afterwards.

It really is upsetting that Bickell is being forced to retire due to MS, but it was beyond inspiring to see him come back and lace up the skates again the way he did.
