The Toronto Maple Leafs kept their surprising season going on Saturday night with a massive 4-3 victory over the Washington Capitals to even the series at one game apiece.

Since the team is technically in its second year of a rebuild, the Maple Leafs were not even expected to make the playoffs this season.

However, they’ve shocked the entire league all season long and kept it going in Game 2 when they defeated the Capitals in double overtime.

With it being the franchise’s first playoff victory in nearly four years, you can bet that Leafs Nation is really enjoying this victory.

The Leafs have shown through the first two games that they aren’t going to back down against the mighty Capitals without a fight. This was the franchise’s longest skid without a playoff victory, with the longest one coming between April 30, 2004 and May 12, 2013.

There was a silver lining in the loss for Capitals fans, though.

Game 3 goes back in Toronto on Monday night.
