Team Sweden and Team Canada went head-to-head in the gold medal game at the 2017 IIHF World Hockey Championship on Sunday and it was the Swedes who came out on top.
With it being the country’s first gold medal at the tournament since 2013 and their first medal in general since 2014, you can bet the team partied pretty hard after the game.
On Monday, the team returned back home and they were escorted by the Swedish Air Force.
When they arrived back home in Sweden, they had thousands of people waiting for them to congratulate them and celebrate their victory with them.
Sunday was a very big day for Swedish hockey and they’re keeping the party going as long as possible.
