A lot of football fans were a little upset they had to watch the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons battle it out in Super Bowl LI, but the two teams came through and put on a show that is going to be remembered by football fans for many years to come.
The first overtime game in Super Bowl history, both sets of fans experienced the ultimate roller coaster of emotions on Sunday night. The Falcons fans had nothing but smiles on their faces in the first half, but that suddenly changed late in the second half.
As for the Patriots fans, they experienced the complete opposite. Down by 18 at halftime, a lot of fans were probably feeling more pessimistic than optimistic at this point and we’re probably sitting in silence and anger. One fan’s daughter noticed her dad’s reactions, or lack of, during the first half, so she decided to observe him and take some notes during the second half. Here’s what she came up with.
It starts off with a whole lot of screaming, which lasted for about six minutes before a commercial break came into play. Then her father started to take out his frustration with the dog and probably put all the blame on the dog for his team trailing in the game.
Once the Patriots tied the game up late his glass suddenly became half full and he had a feeling the game was theirs, as she noted he was the happiest person after they tied the game.
As for the ending, it went pretty much went as we expected with her father celebrating with tears of joy.
