The name ‘Jaromir Jagr’ can be found near the top of numerous NHL record lists.

The 45-year-old ranks third in goals (766), second in assists (1,153), and second in points with 1,919. All of these numbers have been accumulated during an incredible 1,721 game career that has included two Stanley Cups, a Hart Trophy, and back-to-back-to-back-to-back Art Ross Awards from 1998-2001.

On November 19, 2006, Jagr completed one of his more notable moments when he scored his 600th NHL goal. The milestone took place during his time with the New York Rangers at Madison Square Gardens against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Jagr is just one of 19 players to ever reach the number and is the league’s only active skater with the amount under his belt. Alex Ovechkin is easily the closest with 571, and could join the veteran as early as this season.

With 45 more goals, the future hall of famer would pass the great Gordie Howe (801) on the all-time list. Gretzky leads the pack with 894 and doesn’t appear to be in harm of losing his spot any time soon. Whether he falls short of catching Howe or not, Jagr will go down as one of the greatest hockey players of all time.

Both on, and off the ice.
