Brooks Koepka may have finished on top of leaderboard at the 100th PGA Championship, but all anyone can talk about is Tiger Woods.

Woods famously draws eyeballs to the sport anytime he even gets near a lead at a major, so when he came within one shot of Koepka’s lead on the back nine of their final round, people paid attention. It was truly a vintage round for Tiger and he put up one of the greatest performances of his career. If only he hadn’t shot a 70 on Thursday, things could have been different.

Still, his whole tournament was very impressive and these five stats will make it hard to believe he didn’t actually win the whole thing:

If you’re a fan of golf, the result was a good one no matter what. Brooks Koepka has been a budding star in golf and considering that his 264 is a lower total than any major Tiger has ever won, it’s possible that this could be a launching point in his career. Koepka now has three Major titles and will continue to press for more next season.

If Tiger really is back, he will continue to make major tournaments exciting and his competitors will benefit from the exposure.
