Out of the thousands of professional athletes in the world, it’s not surprising that a few of them possess a doppelgänger outside of sports.

Sometimes, you can find a regular look-alike who pretends to be an athlete in public, but as we found out, they can also be found straight out of Hollywood. After some intense brainstorming, we identified six weird athlete/coach-celebrity doppelgangers that will likely come as quite the surprise to you.

Darcy Kuemper- Brad Pitt in Fight Club

Los Angeles Kings backup goaltender Darcy Kuemper can’t complain about his brother from another mother, as Brad Pitt’s role as Tyler Durden is among the coolest in film history. There are plenty of similarities between the two, particularly in their facial structure, and the shape of their heads are even spot on. Very weird.

Jose Altuve- Turtle from Entourage

Ever thought of this one before? Neither have we… until now.

While one managed to build a name for himself in the Tequila business, the other has been busy smacking dingers in the MLB postseason. Turtle, who was played by Jerry Ferrara in the eight season hit series, slimmed his way down to a figure awfully similar to Altuve’s. The two share countless qualities and could easily be mistaken for identical twins.

Jordy Nelson- Dewey from Malcolm in the Middle

Okay, so there’s a bit of an age gap, but the Green Bay Packers receiver kind of looks like Dewey’s real older brother. Or maybe Dewey grew up and became one of the best red zone threats in the NFL? Who knows.

Steve Ott- Steve the Pirate from ‘Dodgeball’

It’s pretty crazy to think that Steve Ott used to spend his offseasons participating in dodgeball tournaments dressed up as a pirate.

On a serious note, Alan Tudyk’s character as ‘Steve the Pirate’ from Red Hour Film's Dodgeball looks the exact same as former Buffalo Sabres captain Steve Ott. Weird coincidence that they share the same first name?

We think not.

Smylie Kaufman- Fix-It Felix from ‘Wreck-It Ralph’

Kaufman may as well be the real life version of Fix-It Felix. Both are extremely harmless looking and even share the same eye-colour. If you’re having some difficulties around the house and need a handy-man, you might want to consider giving the pro-golfer a call.

Mike Babcock- Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborne in Spider-Man

Whether it’s the hair or the intense look that can usually be seen on either individual’s face, there’s something about this one that just clicks. Both men have great flow and are usually put together quite nicely. The only true difference is that while Dafoe is clearly a villain in the movie series, Babcock is seen by many as a hero in the hockey community.

There it is, six very strange doppelgangers we figured you’ve probably never thought of before. Let us know which other ones you can think of @Bardown!
