The Vegas Golden Knights are in the midst of a historic season.

Through 25 games the NHL's newest team sits at 15-9-1, good enough for second place in the Pacific division. As it stands, Vegas is fourth in the league in average goals per game with 3.48 and owns the 10th highest point percentage at .620%.

The results have come as a surprise considering the roster was assembled by players deemed not worth protecting. There were a few notable names chosen, but the players selected were primarily middle-to-bottom six skaters.

A majority of the team was also drafted outside of the first round, which makes their current run all the more impressive. Below, we broke down the Golden Knights by the round its players were originally drafted in. Players must have skated in at least one game and still be with the franchise. A waived player such as defenceman Jason Garrison, for example, is excluded from the results.

It's surprising to see that the team is comprised of nearly as many undrafted players as first round picks. It is also worth noting that there is not a single fourth-rounder in Vegas' lineup.
