Part of what makes being a professional athlete great is travelling to new cities and experiencing everything about them.  Not every city is what players would call "a good road city," though.

Places like Las Vegas or Vancouver are much more desirable destinations than say Buffalo or Carolina.  Over the last six weeks, The Athletic polled 198 NHL players on a number of different questions, one of which tackled the topic of what the worst city to visit on the road is.  Unsurprisingly, one Canadian city received a large percentage of the votes.

It looks like Sharks players aren't the only ones that don't think highly of the city of Winnipeg (and its wifi).

Not every city will be a player's cup of tea (some more than others), but Paul Maurice said it best last year after he heard about the Sharks' complaints:

Great message sent by #nhljets Paul Maurice to any player complaining about coming to Winnipeg for a game. #nhl #tsnhockey #thatshockey #micdrop
