It’s been a pretty eventful All-Star Game so far at San Jose’s SAP Center.

A couple of high-scoring affairs have taken place and a grand entrance for the ages went down before the game. But the highlight of the night so far came when a fan from a Central Division team pulled off one of the toughest, but most recognizable traditions in hockey.

Every hockey fan is familiar with Nashville’s infamous catfish toss but typically it takes place on home ice. Well, not this time! “Catfish Jake” Deveral Waddell snuck in a catfish to tonight’s contest and gave hockey fans something to be excited about during the Central Division’s 10-4 stomping over the Pacific. The throw rightfully took place after Nashville defender Roman Josi potted one home.

These Preds fans are nuts!

About that entrance we were talking about… It involved two players who the Predators ended up losing to during the 2017 Stanley Cup Final. Marc-Andre Fleury and Kris Letang showed up to tonight’s contest riding on electric scooters. You can’t make this stuff up!

The Central will face the Metropolitan Division in the final so this might not have been the last catfish we’ve seen thrown tonight, folks!
