If you're a fan of the NHL video game series from EA Sports, you probably know that Sidney Crosby is NOT the highest-rated player in NHL 19.

After being tied with Connor McDavid at 93 overall in NHL 18, Crosby stayed at that rating, while McDavid rose up to 94 and he's now alone in the top spot.

Whether or not Crosby should be the highest-rated player in NHL 19 can be debated all day long, but we're not going to take a side in that argument.  Instead, we went back and looked at how Crosby's rating has changed since he first came in the league.

Crosby was the standard-bearer from NHL 13 to NHL 17 as he didn't have a rating below 95 in that span.

The rating system has changed over the past couple of years and it's had an impact on every player, including Crosby who is stuck at 93.

We're not sure what Crosby is going to have to do to surpass McDavid in the future, but he's still the best player in the world in the minds of many and at the age of 31, Sid still has a number of good years in front of him.
