A star-studded ownership group is bringing a NWSL team to Los Angeles

The NWSL is coming to Los Angeles. Tuesday, the league announced that a star-studded ownership group is helping expand the NWSL to LA and it's a move that's been a long time coming.

While there's no team name announced just yet, a name is coming later this year.

As for the ownership group, it features Natalie Portman, Serena Williams, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Garner, Mia Hamm, Abby Wambach, and a host of other stars from all ventures.

LA is the city of stars and we imagine a number of players will want to be part of the expansion team when it hits the pitch.
