Since signing with Toronto FC as a designated player earlier this month, Alejandro Pozuelo’s debut has been a much anticipated one for the TFC faithful. The Spaniard, who captained KRC Genk in Belgium, was expected to fill the offensive void vacated by Victor Vazquez and Sebatiasn Giovinco.

He did not disappoint. Pozuelo absolutely dazzled the home crowd in his TFC debut, with two goals and an assist in a performance that will certainly be making some highlight reels. He introduced himself with a beautiful set-up for Jozy Altidore.

It wasn’t long after that he got on the board for himself, with a cheeky chip on a penalty kick.

That wasn't even his best chip of the night, however — his second goal came on a casual, yet nasty, shot over 6’3 goalkeeper Sean Johnson. Not long after this, Pozuelo exited to a standing ovation from BMO Field.

There was no trouble for Toronto FC in their 4-0 win against New York City FC, and now they’ve won three straight games to begin the season for the first time in franchise history.

If Pozuelo is going to be living up to the hype like this, then they may not have much trouble at all continuing the good times.
