Warmups are the perfect place to get inside an opponent’s head before a game. Most players have a strict routine, so any alteration can get them off their game.
Alex Galchenyuk appears to believe that as well, because last night he got caught on TV messing around with Evander Kane before the game. First, he innocently shoots a puck at Kane’s back and then skates by afterword like he did nothing wrong. Kane doesn’t fall for his tricks though.
The two are actually good friends, so it’s probably all in good fun. Here’s a photo Galchenyuk posted with Kane last summer, alongside Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
We love stuff like this. After all, it’s a game, having fun with other people in the league should be a part of it – especially when it’s competitive fun.
