It’s the name on the front, not the name on the back, that matters most when it comes to sports.

Essentially what this means is that you can have pride in your ability as a player or your legacy, but all that falls into the shadow of your true pride, joy, and immense loyalty – the team.

You can see teams trade away good players that don’t have that mentality, just look at what has been happening with Jimmy Butler in the NBA. While talent on the ice, court, or field is important, a good locker room presence and appreciation for the team is up there too.

So yeah, jerseys are a big deal.

We aren’t going to go ahead and assume that the Canadian NHL teams will be switching their jerseys drastically anytime soon, but it’s fun to imagine. One amateur graphic designer, who is known on reddit under the user handle ariz0na8, tested their hand with re-imagining jerseys for the Canadian hockey teams – this is what they came up with.
