The New England Patriots have won five Super Bowls, with a record-tying 6th waiting if they are able to overcome the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, making them one of the most successful NFL football teams in history. The combination of Tom Brady and Coach Bill Belichick have crafted a dominating dynasty that appears to still be rolling full steam ahead.

The Eagles, on the other hand, have suffered through a ton of heart ache during their time in the league.

The Eagles have never won a Super Bowl before, though they have been to the big game twice. Fans of the Eagles are some of the most passionate in the league, but they still have the biggest victory left to taste. With fellow NFC East division teams the Giants, Redskins, and Cowboys all having enjoyed at least three Super Bowl victories each, the Eagles are consequently the runt of the division.

Saying that, every division has that runt. As a matter of fact, if the Eagles manage to slay the dragon that is the New England Patriots, the NFC East will be the first division to have all of it's teams win at least one Super Bowl.

With the Cardinals, Lions, Vikings, Falcons, Panthers, Bills, Chargers, Bengals, Browns, Texans, Titans, and Jaguars having never won a Championship since the league's merger, at least one representative from each division remains ringless.

With a Super Bowl championship marking the biggest indicator of football supremacy, the NFC East is most successful in that facet. To add to that success, an Eagles' victory would mark the division's 13th Championship, which is much higher than the next highest total of 8 (AFC East and AFC North).
