In the spirit of athletes thinking they could excel in sports they’re not professionals at, the Los Angeles Angels hosted the Anaheim Ducks for their 3rd annual ‘Ducks Night’ at Angel Stadium.

Ahead of Los Angeles’ game against the Seattle Mariners on Friday Night, the Ducks joined the the team for batting practice, and gifted Angels’ superstar Mike Trout one of their newly revealed retro third jerseys

The dynamic West Coast duo also debuted some sweet crossover gear, seen here sported by members of the Ducks.

The action continued when Anaheim defenceman Hampus Lindholm (who has a new puppy that we’re also big fans of) showed that he’s no slouch on the mound, and kicked off the game with an impressive opening pitch.

The Ducks and the Angels have a strong partnership, and go back and forth with their respective appreciation nights. The Ducks have hosted three ‘Angels Nights’ at the Honda Centre.

Though the Angels fell 5-0 to the Mariners, it seemed like a good night at the ballpark nonetheless.
