Andrew Luck calls it the hardest decision of his life. He will not be returning to the game of football.

The Indianapolis Colts quarterback could never quite get over the injury hump, and Luck cited a lack of progression as part of the reason he could no longer take it. While he certainly seems to be certain in his decision, it was not easy talking to the press – especially considering the news wasn’t supposed to come out until tomorrow.

Instead it came out during a Colts’ preseason game, while Luck was on the sideline. After leaving the Lucas Oil sidelines to the sound of boos, he was then immediately thrust in front of the cameras.

It’s no surprise he got a little emotional while discussing his decision.

No matter how you feel about the Colts, it’s hard not to like a guy as genuine and kind as Andrew Luck. Many call him the nicest man in the world, let alone the NFL. Now he can finally focus on the things he wants to.

Take care, Andrew!
