The Toronto Maple Leafs are on a bit of a heater, winning seven consecutive games in the month of February. Some may argue that the Leafs are getting hot ‘at the right time,’ while others may argue they’re hot at… well… a confusing time.

With trade deadline approaching, has this team proven to be worthy of an “all-in” approach? Earlier in the season, most fans would have said no; it certainly didn’t feel as though the Leafs were a piece or two away from a Cup run.

Now, as the team keeps winning, we must ask… Could the real Toronto Maple Leafs please stand up? We’re trying to make an informed decision here!

So what’s the pulse of Leafs Nation now? Well, Corwin McCallum decided to tap into the fan base and find out.

Here are 100 Leafs fans answering one simple question: What realistic trade target would you like the Leafs to acquire?

Note: Some people didn’t really hear the realistic part, apparently.

So there you have it. The knowledge and critical thinking of a fan base on full display!

The leading answer was Chris Tanev, with 10% of the votes cast. This one actually makes sense, as the Leafs could definitely use a D-Man to pair with Rielly. After that, well… Sidney Crosby would be a sick addition, I guess?

Some other popular answers: Connor McDavid, Connor Bedard, and Auston Matthews fall into the unrealistic category, while guys like Noah Hanifin and Adam Larsson may actually make sense.
