NHL players are not just competitive during games against opponents. They're also competitive with their teammates, whether it be in video games or in sports off the ice.
On Monday at practice ahead of Toronto's game against Calgary, Mike Babcock stopped practice in order to settle a competition between two Leafs players.
Apparently Nazem Kadri and Leo Komarov have been chirping each other for a little while about who the faster skater is, and Babcock allowed the two to finally settle their debate at the Saddledome.
If you went into the race thinking Kadri was going to win, you probably weren't alone, but surprisingly Komarov came out on top.
Our money would be on Kadri if they raced with a puck next time, but we've learned we should never count out Uncle Leo because he's as competitive as they come.
