Toronto Raptors fans thought this was their year. They set a franchise record with 59 wins during the regular season, they owned the best home record in the Eastern Conference and finished tied for first in the entire league, but that didn’t matter to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

For the third straight year the Raptors’ season comes to an end a lot earlier than expected at the hands of the Cavaliers and fans did not hold back online during and following the game.

To make matters even worse for the Raptors, not only were they swept as the No. 1 seed in the Conference but they also happened to get swept by the Cavs for the second year in a row.

Throughout the season many basketball fans and analysts throughout North America said that the Eastern Conference has to go through LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers no matter what spot they finish it and it’s really shown over the first rounds of the NBA playoffs, especially in round two against the Raptors.

The Raptors are once again heading home after a disappointing second round series, while the Cavs will wait to see if they’ll be playing the Boston Celtics or the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference Finals.
