Take note, basketball world, DeMar DeRozan is back starting for the second straight NBA All-Star Game.

The now four-time NBA All-Star received just under one million votes and edged out Victor Oladipo, who’s having a fantastic breakout campaign with the Indiana Pacers this season.


DeRozan in the midst of one of best statistical seasons in his entire career. The product of Compton, California, who will be playing in front of his hometown crowd in Los Angeles, is averaging 25.2 points per game good for 7th overall in the NBA. From the field, he’s shooting 48 percent with 5 assists per game.

The Raptors guard was named along with Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James (captain), Milwaukee Bucs forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, Philadelphia 76ers big Joel Embiid, and Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving.

DeRozan, 28, along with his good pal Kyle Lowry and one of the best second units in the NBA have propelled the Raps into second place in the Easterm Conference and sit just three games back of the conference leading Boston Celtics with a 30-10 approximately midway through the NBA season.

The All-Star game with see captains LeBron James and Steph Curry select players from both conferences to determine the actual rosters of who'll play with who on Feb. 18th.
