If you happened to check in on the box score between the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens game, the statistics may have confused you for a moment. Two Chicago tight ends recorded a touchdown but rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was only credited with one touchdown pass. Well, that’s because Zach Miller’s reception came from their rookie running back Tarik Cohen.

The former North Carolina AT&T Aggie has been impressive this season, having already accumulated 194 rushing yards along with 144 receiving yards in five games ahead of today's tilt. On Sunday, the back proved that he can throw the rock as well when he found Miller in the corner of the end zone.

Not a bad ball.

Cohen joined some pretty unique company on the play. At 5’6, the Bunn, North Carolina native became the smallest player to throw a touchdown since New York Giants legend Wee Willie Smith, who managed to do it in1934.

According to Football Reference, Smith was never listed as a quarterback, but played three positions; defensive back, tailback and fullback. Man, those were the days.

Cohen is currently one of the NFL’s shortest players, so it doesn’t appear as though any other back will be joining him and Smith anytime soon. With Trubisky still adjusting to NFL gameplay, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Cohen toss some more passes by the season’s end.
