Paul Bissonnette got into his share of fights over his six-year NHL career, but the former enforcer claims that dropping the gloves wasn’t the root of his nightmares.

Primarily a fourth-liner during his playing days, Bissonnette typically found himself lining up against opposing bottom-six units. That wasn’t always the case, though, as home head coaches in the NHL often take advantage of matching their top line against a team’s bottom-two with the hope of creating a stronger scoring chance. Therefore, the 32-year-old found himself against some impressive talent. In an interview on the ‘Spittin Chiclets’ podcast, Bissonnette stated that getting caught on the ice against players such as Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane scared him more than chucking fists with his opponents.

The following content is not suitable for a working environment.

According to hockeyfights.com, Bissonnette fought in 69 fights in both the preseason and regular season during his NHL career. He was no stranger to fighting, but wasn’t exactly the most skilled player in his day.

Today, ‘BizNasty’ doesn’t have to worry about squaring off against superior players or opposing fighters. the former Arizona Coyote, Pittsburgh Penguin and Los Angeles King is a member of the Coyote's broadcast team. He also runs his own segment entitled ‘Road Trippin With Biz’, a show in which he interacts with professional athletes on Coyotes TV. Additionally, he has managed to gain quite the following for himself on social media, as he has more than 1 million followers on Twitter.

Though Biz views playing against players such as Kane and Toews as a nightmare, it’s only a distant dream for most hockey fans. Regardless, he seems to be doing just fine off the ice.
