Bat flips have been a major topic of discussion in the MLB over the past couple of years, largely because of the Toronto Blue Jays.

As a team, they have been watching hits and launching bats for a while and they continued to do it on the biggest stage in 2015 and 2016. Of course, there was one bat flip that stood out far more than the rest of them and probably more than any other bat flip in history. We don’t even have to say which one, we can just say “The Bat Flip” and you know which one we’re talking about.

Well, the MLB decided to rank the top 50 bat flips of all time and guess what wasn’t number one. Blue Jays fans will let you know, because they were up in arms about it.

So, you may be wondering what was number one. Honestly, it doesn’t disappoint. It didn’t cause the uproar that Bautista’s flip did, it didn’t come in one of the most crucial moments of a series-deciding game and the Cardinals actually ended up losing the series. However, it was in the World Series and it’s a rather epic bat flip.

Plus, if it’s any consolation, the Blue Jays did have three of the top 50 overall (Plus a bonus Josh Donaldson flip on the Athletics at #45).
