Brad Marchand is known as the pest of the NHL. Sure, there are lots of pest in the NHL, but he is THE pest. The licking, kissing, hacking, sacking pest of the NHL.
There’s a lot of people that strongly dislike him, but would love to have him on their team. Generally speaking, he seems to be well respected by his peers as everyone understands that it’s the role he plays that makes him so effective on the ice.
Turns out he still has some friends around the league, too.
It may very well be a not-so-humble brag, but it’s hard to argue with his point. You may recognize a few faces in this crowd, with Nathan MacKinnon and Sidney Crosby leading the bunch along with Marchand. If you haven’t heard of them, we’ll just tell you they’re pretty good at hockey. Pretty darn good.
Also pictured is Shane Bowers, Drake Batherson, and Shawn O’Donnel, who could become a little bit more well-known in the near future as their young careers develop.
