Soccer players have earned the reputation for being the biggest divers in sports and it’s easy to see why thanks to the invention of instant replay.
 

From rolling around on the ground in pain for 10 seconds to holding a body part in excruciating pain and immediately getting right back up and returning to action, we thought we had seen it all when it comes to soccer flops, but were we ever wrong.

On Sunday night, Shanghai East Asia and Beijing Guoan went head-to-head in Chinese Super League action and Beijing’s Renato Augusto took flopping to an entirely new level.

We’ve seen players graze an opponent and go down in an instant, and we’ve even seen players get bumped by their own teammates and try to get a call, but we’ve never seen a player bump into a referee and drop down pretending to be in pain.
 

The officials weren’t buying the Brazilian midfielder’s antics, so he’ll have to try a little harder at selling it next time.
