It wouldn’t be the Stanley Cup Playoffs if we didn’t have a missed call that could’ve changed the outcome of a game.

During Game 4 of the Jets and Wild series in which Winnipeg went on to win 2-0, Jets rookie Josh Morrissey cross-checked Wild forward Eric Staal right to the left side of his head. The cross-check went unnoticed with the Wild already on a powerplay. Staal was slow to get back up after falling to the ice, and slowly made his way back to Wild’s bench.

Minny would’ve had a 5-on-3 with the score being 0-0 at the time of the incident, and to make matters worse, Mark Scheifele scored his second of the playoffs shortly after, which prompted Twitter to ridicule the officials.

Wild head coach Bruce Bodrureau was clearly not a happy camper.

Following the game, you can imagine the questions media members inside Xcel Energy Center asked Boudreau.

Josh Morrissey defended himself, saying the cheap shot was accidental and that he’s not a dirty player.

Staal, understandably, took issue the play and was upset that there was no call.

Jets coach Paul Maurice naturally defended his player.

TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reported that it could take a view days to hear from the NHL’s Department of Safety if the cross-check warrants a suspension.

So, what do you think? Should Morrissey be suspended? It’s hard to argue against that considering Staal’s height, and the fact that Morrissey drove his stick into the side of his head with the puck nowhere near the two opponents. And what about Boudreau's comments? Do you think the Wild really would have won if they got that call? It's hard to win when you don't score.
