Some would say that IndyCar drivers don't qualify as athletes as they are merely just driving a car, but there is certainly a physical component to the sport that often goes overlooked. Being locked in tight to a cramped car while travelling a ridiculously high speeds in tense situations will definitely take a lot out of you, sometimes more literally than others.

Canadian driver James Hinchcliffe maintains that he knew it was going to happen at some point in his career. During the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama, the race went under red flag after rainy conditions started affecting the track. This does not excuse drivers from their cars, however, not even if "it's an emergency".

Hinchcliffe peed himself, and after the race he went into hilarious detail about the situation. The man has quite a base of knowledge on the history of drivers doing this.

Fellow driver Carlos Munoz responded to the interview by joking that he'd been exposed by Hinchcliffe.

Seriously though, there must be a better solution than this. It has to be awfully uncomfortable to finish a race while dealing with soiled trousers.
