From a basketball standpoint, Jeremy Lin couldn’t have come to Toronto at a better time. On Tuesday afternoon, the club announced that backup point-guard Fred VanVleet will be sidelined for approximately the next five weeks with a thumb injury and with starter Kyle Lowry also missing his share of games with a back injury this season, Lin should see a solid amount of time on the floor heading into the playoffs.

But from a weather standpoint… things could be better.

Lin recently arrived to Toronto and from the looks of it, he’s pretty shocked by the weather. Okay… Very shocked. He posted this picture to his Insta story after arriving.

Yeah… it’s been a tough couple of days in the 6ix!

Lin’s spent the majority of his career in warm weather but who could forget his magical season with the Knicks? New York’s just a short flight away so this really shouldn’t be anything new to him. Spending two season with the Nets from 2016-18 also should have been enough to prepare him for the weather conditions.

How will this affect the @raptors down the stretch? 🤔👇

The Harvard product is expected to play and chose a familiar number to roll with on the floor. Lin revealed he’ll be donning 17; formally worn by center Jonas Valančiūnas. The big man was involved in a trade that sent center Marc Gasol over from the Memphis Grizzlies.

Marc #Gasol is really excited to be in Toronto👀
