Ladies and gentleman, welcome to the Elias Pettersson show.

The Canucks' super rookie entered Friday night's matchup against the Colorado Avalanche leading all Canucks in points with 10 in eight games.

In his ninth career NHL game, the odds-on Calder Trophy favourite made history by becoming the youngest player in Canucks history to record 5 points or more in a game.

Nicknamed "Dekey Pete" or "Petey," the 19-year-old Swedish sensation set up Brock Boeser for two impressive goals on the night and sent things to overtime with 36 seconds remaining in the third period with the game tied at 6-6. Adding another goal in late in the second period, Pettersson notched the primary assist on Derrick Pouliot's overtime to bring up two goals and three assists and a grand total of 15 points in nine games.

Pettersson not only set a Canucks record but also became the youngest Swede to ever record five points in a game.
