The Hershey Bears and the Hartford Wolf Pack went head-to-head in AHL action on Saturday night and while both teams are pretty much out of the playoff race, one player in particular still went out there and put his body on the line as if it was Game 7 of the Calder Cup.

With the two teams locked in a 1-1 tie late in the second period, the Wolf Pack got a glorious opportunity to take the lead but Bears defenceman Connor Hobbs stepped up in a very massive way.

That’s right, the Washington Capitals prospect put his face on the line and took one for the team to keep the puck out of the net. What’s even more impressive about this selfless act is that the 21-year-old never ended up missing a shift the rest of the game.

The save ended up being a really big one for the Bears as they ended up winning the game 2-1.
