Have you ever looked up an athlete or a celebrity and ended up in a deep dive into said person’s personal life? We mean, we know you definitely have.
Sometimes when you look up a player’s stats or the movies an actor has been in you end up learning pretty much everything about them in their online biographies.
But upon stumbling into their entire upbringing via the internet, sometimes what you find ends up shocking you because it’s just that cool.
For example, an athlete with celebrity relatives.
Whether it’s their parents, siblings, or extended family, somehow these findings are groundbreaking at the moment.

Liam & Rod Stewart
If you thought we were going to start this list off with anyone other than a hockey player, then you thought wrong!
Rod Stewart is already an absolute legend, being one of the top-selling artists of all time, but the fact his son Liam is a hockey player just adds to his incredible resume.
Playing for over a decade for various clubs, including the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL, the Quad City Mallards and Alaska Aces in the ECHL, Liam currently plays for the Milton Keynes Lightning in England.
Imagine going to a WHL game and Rod Stewart is just chilling in the stands near you?
That would be WILD.
Luke and Bill Murray
Like Rod Stewart, finding out that Bill Murray has a son who is a promising assistant basketball coach is super cool.
Currently the assistant coach for the UConn Huskies Men’s Basketball team, Luke Murray is also a stellar recruiter. He previously was an assistant coach at the University of Louisville, along with Xavier University and the University of Rhode Island.
If UConn ends up making it to March Madness, we may have to vote for them. Totally unbiased!
Keith, Russell and Bruce Hornsby
The celebrity-athlete greatness did not stay shy of the Hornsby family!
Grammy Award-winning musician Bruce Hornsby has a long list of acts he was associated with including Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers, the Grateful Dead, and many others, his two sons both followed in his footsteps with their own talents!
Both having careers in Division I athletics, Russell attended Oregon State for Track and Field where he was a middle-distance runner.
Keith on the other hand is a professional basketball player for the Metropolitans 92 of the LNB Pro A, after spending time at UNC Asheville and LSU.
Cross Patton and Big Boi
If you know Outkast, then you absolutely know one half of the group, Big Boi.
Well his son, Cross, is currently a DI running back for the Nevada Wolfpack, and previously played for the Oregon Ducks.

Jessica, Patti Scialfa & Bruce Springsteen

Dennis Rodman, otherwise known as The Worm, is one of the greatest rebounders of all-time, playing for predominantly the Chicago Bulls, along with several other teams during his 14-year NBA career.
Though the talent is continuing to run, as both his son and daughter are quite the athletes!
His daughter, Trinity, has made a name for herself as a forward for the Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League!
Trinity made history last year, becoming the youngest player to ever be drafted into the NWSL!
Meanwhile his son, DJ, is following in his father’s footsteps and currently plays basketball for the Washington State Cougars!
