The CFL season is approaching quickly and players across the league are hitting the peak of their offseason workouts – a regimen that few people outside of professional athletes can handle.

Players are always fighting for their job and the difference between a breakout season and a disappointing year could be the work they put in in the offseason. CFL host Brodie Lawson is hoping to have a good season as well, so what better way than to go through the offseason grind of some stars in the CFL?

Eskimos receiver Derel Walker, Roughriders defensive lineman Willie Jefferson and Stampeders Reggie Begelton work out in Katy, Texas and Brodie took a roadtrip down there in Episode 1 of “The Grind”.

This should be a requirement for anyone who wants to chirp a professional athlete.

We’re pretty most people are going to be apologizing before the warmup is over. Jefferson said it best when Brodie is hunched over in the second drill and he explains that it’s “Still the warmup. When we get off the turf, the warmup’s over”.

We’ll stay on the sidelines playing fantasy sports.

Speaking of which, this seems like a good way to find some sleepers for fantasy. Derel Walker is poised for a huge year in CFL fantasy now that he’ll be spending the entire season in Edmonton. It’s too bad that Willie Jefferson can’t be picked, but Reggie Begelton could also be a sleeper in Calgary.
