You weren’t actually going to believe Charles Barkley when he said he wanted to punch Draymond Green in the face, were you?

Well if you did, then Barkley wants you and Draymond Green to know that he was only kidding.

During Tuesday night’s Inside the NBA broadcast on TNT, the NBA Hall of Famer appeared on ESPN Chicago’s Waddle and Silvvy show to apologize to the Warriors forward. Coming fresh off shooting a 97 in a round of golf, Barkley immediately apologized for saying that “I just want someobody to punch him (Green) in the face during a clip of the broadcast that showed Rajon Rondo and Green going at it.

“First of all, I want to apologize to Draymond Green. I wasn’t literally gonna fight an NBA player, and if he took it like that, I apologize. Just because I said something that I shouldn’t have said, I want to be man enough to apologize. I was 100 percent wrong.

“I didn’t mean it literally. People want to make it out literally that I’m gonna fight an NBA player. That’s unfortunate. But I want to apologize to Draymond.”

Barkley then took to television to and apologized on National Television.

"Those guys who are irritants who are all good players, but they can be annoying at times," Barkley said. "But like I said, I was wrong when I said it, and I shouldn't have said it

“I apologize to Draymond Green…I meant what I said.” Does that sound sincere to you?

During Tuesday morning, Green spoke to reporters following a Warriors practice, essentially saying that Charles better hit him if he’s really about that life.

So, will Draymond accept Barkley’s apology? Something tells us that we probably won’t and nor will he really care.
