Things haven’t gone great for the Toronto Raptors so far in their playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks. It’s one thing to lose to Giannis Antetokounmpo, but it’s quite another when guys like Ersan Ilyasova and Malcolm Brogdon are coming off the bench with 17 and 14 points games respectively in Game 2.

But Brogdon’s balling comes with a good cause. He appeared on the NBA on TNT set after the game and talked about his Hoops2O non-profit organization, which aims to bring clean water to East Africa.

Immediately, Charles Barkley pledged $45,000, or the cost of a single well, to the program.

Way to go, Chuck! With the emotional investment in what happens on the hardwood, it can be easy at times to forget what really matters, but Brogdon is trying to make a difference out in the world as well as against the Raptors.

About those Raptors: They’ll be digging out of an 0-2 hole when the series returns to Toronto for Game 3. Considering how well Milwaukee has played so far, it may seem like a daunting task, but the Raptors aren’t hitting the panic button just yet.
