From the moment the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fight rumours started, Conor was the heavy underdog due to the fact that he would be going up against an undefeated fighter in a boxing match.
McGregor was his confident self going into the fight, but his confidence couldn't stop him from losing to Floyd.
Despite losing, McGregor came out of the fight looking like a star as he lasted a lot longer than people probably expected and he landed a ton of punches.
The MMA world was so proud of Conor for his incredible performance, including Dana White, but after the fight, McGregor had some heartbreaking words for Dana the first time he saw him.
For everyone that thinks Conor just fights for a payday, those two words ("I'm sorry") should change your opinion.
Even though some part of him knew he might not win, he wanted and expected to come out victorious and apologized for not doing so, that's how much the fight and win meant to him.
The loss takes nothing away from the legacy McGregor has fought to build for himself and we're sure he'll remind fans of that fact once the next fight comes around.
