The Tennessee Titans Cinderella run came to an end when they fell to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship. After becoming the last team to qualify for the NFL Playoffs, the Titans potentially “ended the Patriots dynasty” with a win on Wild Card Weekend, and then took out Lamar Jackson and the Super Bowl favourite Baltimore Ravens.

In the end, the Chiefs are moving on, but following the victory the conspiracy theorists found one clip which they perceived to be fairly damning to the game’s officiating crew.

This particular group of fans believe there’s some explaining to do after a flag appeared to be thrown before the play even began to unfold. Of course, for every conspiracy theory, there IS an explanation… and it’s a pretty good one.

So essentially the reason for confusion is that fans assumed the resulting holding flag was the one they saw come from the side judge, but that penalty was actually called by Tony Cerrente off-screen. The flag in question was for a formation violation, and picked up.

They should have just explained, but it seems as though this conspiracy theory will have to take another route.
