Cory Schneider had a humorous quote about Jack Hughes' poise a lot of people can probably relate to

The New Jersey Devils outlook for the 2019/20 season has changed drastically over the past week. There was obviously excitement for the first overall pick which turned out to be the player everyone thought it would be (Jack Hughes), but nobody saw the P.K. Subban trade coming.

Now, expectations are much higher for a Devils team that made the playoffs as recently as 2018 and if they want to make it back to the postseason, Hughes is going to have to live up to the hype. That pressure could be overwhelming for some, but Hughes has incredible poise at just 18-years-old and a new teammate of his had a wonderful quote when asked about that poise.

I asked Cory Schneider about Hughes' poise, composure for an 18yo. His response is pure gold: "Thinking back to this time in my life, as an 18yo in the summer, I was probably thinking about going to Boston College and wondering if my brother could give me his fake ID."

Cory Schneider and Hughes have seemingly hit it off since officially becoming teammates and we hope we get more quotes or interactions like this because they're incredibly enjoyable for hockey fans everywhere.
