Last night, the player ranked by many as the best prospect not in the NHL, Clayton Keller, made his NHL debut.

It’s an entirely new league for the young forward, but it’s not all new faces. Jakob Chychrun, who is also playing in his first NHL season is also on the Coyotes and the two played together as kids. We’ve seen a lot of former NHL players on the same team as kids, but it’s rare that they get to play together as adults as well.

The Coyotes found some old proof of the two playing together and snapped a photo of the two sharing a moment on the ice to recreate the moment.

Hockey really is a community that allows players from around the world grow up together, but this truly is a special case for both of them to reach the NHL as 18-year-olds.

You have to wonder if they will be sporting those letters in Arizona soon as well.

Either way, they will both be part of the Arizona Coyotes organization for the foreseeable future, and with the team likely to get another high pick this year, they could start to turn this franchise around.

Dream come true last night. Can't thank my family and friends for everything they have done for me.
