Croatia is headed to the World Cup final where they will clash with France for soccer glory. The perennial dark horse team finally put it together in 2018, finishing first place in Group D – a group that also contained Argentina, Nigeria, and Iceland.

They’re also the only team that has won every game they’ve played in so far, with the other remaining team, France, drawing Denmark in the group stage.

Once they reached the elimination round, they did what France could not and beat Denmark, then they eliminated the surprisingly offensive host Russian team, before breaking the heart of English fans everywhere in an ultra-dramatic semi-final.

You can bet the party is raging in the streets of Croatia ahead of Sunday’s final, and that party even made its way into the country’s cabinet gathering when all members showed up in jerseys.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen some heavy fandom from members of the Croatian government. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic – the Croatian president – had herself a blast during Croatia’s victory over Russia. She even found herself in the locker room dancing and chanting alongside the team.

It’s a good time to be Croatian, and it could get even better if they manage to beat France and take home the World Cup. We’ll find out Sunday if they’re able to pull it off!
