One of the most loyal players in the NBA, Damian Lillard decided to stand with Portland in a different way on Thursday when he joined protesters in a march against the murder of George Floyd.
He linked arms with other protesters and streamed live on Instagram, sharing a look from the march while chanting with the crowd.
Lillard’s willingness to be outspoken as well as genuine has earned him a lot of admiration from his peers and fans in Portland, and expressing this type of solidarity with other Portlanders is meaningful as well.
Lillard joins a number of other NBA players in participating in protests, and he has also been active on Instagram as well.
