Home invasions are one of the scariest things ever. How freaky is it to feel unsafe in your own home? With that being said, if we had to survive a home invasion and chase the suspect down, we would probably feel a lot better about it if were were 6'6", 220 pound DeMar DeRozan.

The former Raptors star was the victim of such a case on November 19th, TMZ reported today. Apparently, a man broke into DeRozan's LA-area home and snuck upstairs into a play area where at least one of DeMar's kids was located at the time.

Luckily, DeRozan rushed to investigate the commotion coming from upstairs, where he came face to face with the intruder, who he then chased out of his house.

The suspect was arrested by police for one count of felony burglary after fleeing the scene but returning to the gated neighbourhood. According to the intruder, DeRozan's home was not his intended target, and  he mistakenly broke into the NBA star’s house while in search of Kylie Jenner’s.  When he was asked about the incident today, DeRozan said "I grew up in Compton, California, I've been through worse."

We’re glad that everyone is safe, and we’re not surprised by DeMar’s stellar instincts and handling of the situation.
