The old saying goes “the past is the past”, and while that may still wring true, there’s something to be said for “the past is the present” nowadays too. Case in point: The Last Dance.

The Last Dance, an ESPN documentary following Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, has been the #1 topic of conversation for all sports fans ever since the world of sports all but stopped turning. Each Sunday, two more installments of the 10-part series are released, and the latest edition of part three and four featured heavily on the story of Dennis Rodman.

Rodman is one of the most eccentric players to ever suit up in the NBA, and his whacky personality was coupled with his complete willingness to sacrifice his body for the ball, and do all the dirty work that Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen wouldn’t want to.

On Tuesday, Rodman’s son D.J. was on Instagram live when he was asked about The Last Dance. D.J. explained that he had been watching along, and that he knew about everything to do with his father that had been shown in the documentary, except for one part – the Vegas vacation.

Pretty crazy way to learn about that story. Pretty crazy story in general. We’re sure D.J., like the rest of us, will be glued to the TV for each installment. He may not be done learning about his father’s past quite yet.
