While Nascar has called off its race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, that didn’t mean the event  couldn’t still take place. On Sunday, more than 30 drivers participated in a virtual race over the iRacing racing simulation game.

The winner, Denny Hamlin, pledged a donation of $5,000 to families affected by coronavirus... and it looks like he got a little too fired up over the virtual win, hilariously dropping a bad-language word in front of his daughter at home!

Look at Hamlin’s racing rig! We guess when you’re a professional driver, you’ll want a set-up as close to the real thing as possible.

Simulated motorsports has been one of the most realistic sports video games, with many drivers including Denny Hamlin getting their start on iRacing before they made it to Nascar, and Sunday’s ‘eNascar’ event even got the full broadcast experience with announcers calling the race for TV.

It might not be the real thing, but given what we have to work with right now, Nascar’s iRacing events could definitely be worth your time.
