Until the Houston Texans drafted Deshaun Watson, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins never really had a true number one quarterback throwing him the ball.
However, that didn’t stop Hopkins from producing like one of the game’s best receivers year after year and quickly developed a chemistry with Watson once he came on board.
On Monday, the Texans shocked every single football fan by trading their best receiver and one of the best receivers in the entire NFL in Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals.
After letting it all digest, Watson took to social media on Tuesday afternoon to show some love for his now-former goto receiver and wished him nothing but success down the road.
They only spent three seasons together and looked like they were in it together for the long haul, but we’ve got to remember it’s a business at the end of the day and nothing lasts forever.
