The Flames and Kings rivalry that has emerged over the past year might be turning into the best in the NHL.

The division rivals really started sparking an interest after Matthew Tkachuk elbowed Drew Doughty and the two exchanged words through the media. Now it’s gone beyond just these two players. Of course, they’re still right in the middle of it, but the fan bases have just begun to dislike the other team no matter what players are playing.

What magnifies that this season is how tight the two teams are in the standings. They are actually tied in points, but Calgary holds the tiebreaker that keeps them in the playoffs and pushes the Kings out. So, every point matters in these matchups.

Perhaps that’s why Drew Doughty was so fired up after his teams win and yelling at Calgary fans who were chirping him.

If you look closely in the bottom right of the screen, you can actually see one of the fans flipping him off, so we’re sure they did they fair share of jawing as well.

Maybe it was these fans that he was yelling at.
