Every hockey fan in the nation's capital is on edge, dealing with the possibility that the Ottawa Senators may trade Erik Karlsson before the deadline on Monday.

For the past week rumours have been swirling around that the Senators may be looking to move Karlsson, something that has left fans uneasy. Saturday, a Senators fan was removed by security after he was seen holding sign that read 'Take Eugene Not Karlsson.'

Sunday, TSN's James Duthie tweeted that even his 84-year-old mother, who is a diehard Sens fan, is quite upset with the proposition that Karlsson's time with the franchise may be coming to an end.

As Duthie said himself, the Senators have some issues at the moment, as fans are clearly unsettled at the moment. As for what happens with Karlsson on deadline day...we'll have to wait and see.

Remember to tune into TradeCentre on Monday, with coverage beginning at 8 am ET.
